Sarah began timing strong contractions at about 5 a.m. Saturday morning, 5 days before her scheduled induction. At around 8 a.m. she was 6 centimeters dilated and was admitted to Washington Regional Medical Center. By 4 p.m. she was ready to begin five hours of official labor. Sarah’s slight fever during delivery, and Iris’ unexpected weight, led to an extra two nights stay, but both mom and baby left the hospital happy and healthy Tuesday morning.
